A quiet place is a place to reminisce, to reflect, to celebrate the joys and to find solace in the losses.

It can be found in many places; within a garden, by a river, but most of all within oneself. To lose oneself in creating something of beauty is to find a quiet place.

These kits are beautiful

Yesterday I went to the NWTG stitching afternoon and browsed a book of miniature cross stitch designs. Then one of the ladies suggested I have a look at Janet Granger's kits. Oh, they are exquisite and I fell in love with the needlework frames. Janet suggests they are for "a stitcher with some experience". Well, that's me but it should also say "and with good eyesight". It's stitched on 40 count silk gauze! Maybe I'll just browse wistfully.

  2. I know! Amazing work. I'm still trying to decide if I'm game enough to try a carpet.
