Magnolias in bloom always herald the end of winter and the beginning of spring for me. As I drove home, there in full bloom were some magnificent trees, the flowers reaching up to the wintery sun.
I hadn't been at home long when a friend arrived with a gorgeous array of camellias that are flourishing in their garden.
